.......I was born in Belgrade where I finished my primary and secondary schooling. I enrolled at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine in 1961/62 and graduated in 1969.
.......In 1970, upon completing my internship year, passing the professional medical licensing examination and finishing my compulsory military service, I was appointed a Medical Associate for the academic subject of Forensic Medicine at the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine and reappointed to the same position in 1974.
.......In 1975 I was appointed an Assistant and reappointed to the same position four years later.
.......I was appointed to the position of an Assistant Professor In 1981, an Associate Professor for the academic subject of Forensic Medicine in 1986 and a Full Professor in 1991.
.......I speak both German and English fluently.
.......In the course of my professional and scientific work, on January 26, 1974 I passed my exam for the Forensic Medicine Specialist with outstanding results. I won my Master's Degree in 1977 with the thesis "Thoracic Visceral Injuries in Traffic Accidents". In 1979, I defended my doctoral dissertation "Thoracoabdominal Injuries in Traffic Accidents and Their Forensic Medical Significance" at the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine.

.......During my career at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine, I was a longstanding Head of the Institute of Forensic Medicine as well as the Head of Forensic Medicine Department and Chairman of the School of Medicine Council, President of the Forensic Medicine Section of the Serbian Medical Society.
.......Presently, I am the Chairman of the Forensic Medicine Specialty Examining Board as well as of the Board for Master's and Doctoral Studies.
.......In addition, I am the Chairman of Forensic Medicine Board at the School of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, Vice-President of the Medical Law Association and a member of numerous other associations, the American Academy of Forensic Science being one of these.
.......I headed a number of projects, among others the "Clinical Forensic Research of Trauma", undertaken by the Republic of Serbia Science Community, which included five sub-projects, one of these related to "Clinical Forensic Diagnostics of Firearm Injuries".
.......At the invitation of Professor Tom Naguchi, I spent six months as a visiting professor at the Institute of Forensic Medicine UCLA (Los Angeles, USA).
.......For years I have been a professor of Forensic Medicine in undergraduate and postgraduate studies, teaching at the Schools of Medicine of the Universities of Belgrade, Kragujevac, Pristina and Sarajevo, as well as at the Faculties of Law in Belgrade and Podgorica. I am a full professor of Forensic Medicine at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine and of Legal Medicine at the Belgrade Faculty of Law.
